St. Ephrem's Sports Academy Mannanam is the flagship project of STARS. The Academy offers comprehensive basketball and cricket training to aspiring players. The academy is linked with St. Ephrem's Higher Secondary School, Mannanam, which has an illustrious history of over 135 years. Together, the institutions provide a holistic approach to education and sports, helping players to achieve their full potential in both arenas.

U-19 Indian & Kerala Ranji Player
This place has so much importance in my life. I spent 4 precious years of my teen life at the school and hostel here. Lots of good memories along with few bad memories. I thank Fr.Antony Kanjirathinkal, the warden of this academy for his support. I trained under many qualified coaches in Kottayam from here. Philip Sir, Jeen Sir, Jithin Sir, Arun Sir, Hari Sir and Sajil Chettan. Thank you all... More than that I thank Sunny Chettan and Elsy Chechi for preparing food for us. Mannanam Academy has produced U-19 India, Ranji Trophy, Junior Kerala and lots of other quality players. Along with Cricket, Basketball training is here. The St.Ephrem's Basketball team is the number one school team in Kerala for the last, many years. Also produced lots of Indian players. Finally, I got some lovely friends from this place.. #thankgod

Thanking the god almighty for his wonderful blessings he have given through out my life. I was an introvert person form my childhood where i grew up with my parents in Qatar. Later on after my 8th grade, I stepped down to Kerala (Gods own country). From their onwards my life changed upside down. I joined in St.Ephrems School, Mannanam where I build my life, where I chased my dream and where it make me understand that, what i capable of. As a basketball player i joined in the Ephrems sports academy, which is carriying on by Rev. Fr. Antony Kanjirathinkal (Director of Ephrems Sports Academy). It was a dream come true moment when I joined in Ephrems Academy. As sports hostel, it is famous for the best coaching & for engraving National & International Players. By the grace of God I became the first player from Ephrems Academy to wear the jersey for Indian Team, playing FIBA Youth Championship in Malaysia. A player always need better facilities for improving and polishing their skills. Ephrems Academy have all those facilities that a player needs, and the management is bringing the academy to international level. Ephrems Academy changed my identity not only through the game but also as a person, to be a good human to the society. As a alumni I know how the hostel was and where it is standing now as the best sports academy in national level. The results of the academy is a crystal clear example for that. Academy is rich with lot of international and national players now and its still producing more. It was my second home because of the support from the management, teachers and non - teaching staff and the director of sports, Rev. Fr. Antony Kanjirathinkal made me much comfort to be a hostler. Their support and love was a vital role in my career as a sports student. At the same time along with sports, academy is also giving the same kind of attention to the students in their studies as well. The previous results from the academy shows its importance. I can assure that the academy can bring up my fellow brothers to greater heights, if they have a true passion to chase their dreams. I wish all the best for the academy and I am thankful to the love, care and affection what the academy has given me till date, I remain.
